Physical description of your character:
Brandr stands tall, like most in Narthwich, he is is muscular and bears a mane and beard of blonde hair, often braided or pulled back, though it is not uncommon for it to be shaved in the summer months. He is kempt and clean, even his gear is well cared for...particularly for a miner. His hands and demeanor make it obvious that he is not unaccustomed to work.
Notable personality traits or skills:
Brandr has grown accustomed to hard work over his lifetime in the Vale and beyond. His early life was spent mining, hunting and farming giving him a great tolerance for discomfort in pursuit of a great goal or to care for those he holds dear. Later in life Brandr apprenticed to the village smith, though not a production the likes of which could be seen in the South, he can be counted on for repairs and simple tools.
Where is your character coming from? (write a short paragraph about your character’s background before jail):
Brandr was born in Vale and always sought the best way to support not only his family but the Surtrulf Tribe as a whole. At the age of seven, a trip to to the Gathering in Furne introduced him to a greater world and to Gertfyr daughter of the Olaf the Mariner. The wonder of the world would never leave him, and seven years later, at the age of 14 he would meet the blossoming woman Gertfyr again. The bond was immediate and they seemed destined to be be as one. In the following seasons between the Gatherings, Brandr would often make the trip to Furne under the guise of seeking information about metalurgy, smithing, farming, any excuse he could conjure, when in truth he sought only the company of Gertfyr. Then the age of twenty one and the coming of the Gathering came upon him, even the reclusive Porval tribes would be joining...
How did your character find themselves in jail awaiting trial? (Please write a few short paragraphs describing what poor luck brought your character to this point in their life):
At the Gathering, Brandr learned that Gertfyr was to be wed to another, as was the promise of her father. Brandr could not accept this, as clearly Osien had willed that she be his. As the Gathering began, he slipped away, Gertfyr gripping his hand tightly. A small ship was taken and they were bound South East toward Lochhiem. The storm that gathered overhead was intense, the lovers would never reach their destination. Brandr was found on the shores of Narthwich, the Gathering had resulted in many transgressions and a ship was bound to the Black Keep. Gertfyr's father demanded that Brandr be among those criminals taken. Brandr accepted his fate as the judgement of Osien for allowing the sea to claim Gertfyr...the price was too small...
