Long flowing locks of golden hair flow like a waterfall down this six foot four woman's head. Her muscular build suggests a life of hard work, while her caring smile suggests a woman of empathy. Sylvi boasts various scars on her arms, abdomen, bust and a singular scar that runs down her face.
Notable personality traits or skills:
While she was growing up, Sylvi oft found herself defending the other children of her hometown, developing a strong sense of right and wrong, as well as a deep concern for those who could not help themselves. As such she regularly devotes herself to helping those who are in need, despite what harm may come.
She inherited her mother's talent for song, regularly singing to herself, whether this is for comfort or habit she could not say.
As she came of age Sylvi learned to fight with blade and bow, lending her skills to protect the town and boats from the threats of piracy and war.
Where is your character coming from? (write a short paragraph about your character’s background before jail):
The shieldmaiden was born and raised in the port town of Birk. Like most children, she was often left to be raised by the other members of the town and the gaggle of children that lived there. Unlike most children, her father and his ship never returned from a voyage at the young age of seven. Despite her father's disappearance on the ocean waves, Sylvi never gave up hope that one day she would see her father again.
As she grew, Sylvi eventually learned how to fight, often taking the role of the protector and older sister of her group of friends in Birk, doing everything she could to protect and care for the younger children, and listening and learning from her elders. As an adult she signed up to be a member of the Birk guard and learned how to better protect those around her.
How did your character find themselves in jail awaiting trial? (Please write a few short paragraphs describing what poor luck brought your character to this point in their life):
After a particularly heated argument with her mother, Sylvi embarked on a journey to see the world, with the primary goal of finding her lost father. Dead or alive. Unfortunately, her first stop would be her last before her incarceration. In the port town of Tola, Sylvi witnessed an injustice that she could not abide.
Witnessing a man be beaten and robbed by a group of ne'er-do-wells, Sylvi sprang into action, drawing her blade and attempting to intimidate the group. Despite this, a fight ensued, and she injured multiple thugs in the process to save one. The guards of Tola witnessed this stranger and her vigilantism and decided to make an example out of her.
Battery. Vigilantism. Assault with Intent.
She was promptly arrested for her actions, despite her good intentions, while the criminals escaped into the winding alleys of the port. Sylvi gave herself up without a fight, relinquishing her weapons and armor from her home with a heavy heart. She was confident that her actions to defend a man in need would save her from being branded a criminal, and her heart broke as she was found guilty.
