First Month Feedback

Post by Syka »

Hello to all,
First we would like to thank you for the time you took to share feedback about your experience in this first month of Imperius.

Before we begin, it was great to hear your ideas, please do lot wait for the next questionnaire to share your thoughts, concerns and ideas with us, they are all very welcome.

Now, we believe these are the issues that were the biggest concern to the most of you.

Skill Gain Improvements
We hear you! It's clear from your feedback that skill progression feels too slow. We are actively discussing ways to address this, but it’s important to note that not all skills are created equal. Balancing skill progression requires careful consideration to ensure that each skill's unique value is preserved.

More Hunting Areas
New hunting areas are on the horizon! We have been working to populate previously empty zones and are preparing a couple of brand-new areas for you to enjoy. Stay tuned for more places to explore and adventures to embark on.

Bugs & Fixes
We acknowledge that some bugs, broken skills, and missing features have made the gameplay experience challenging at times. We sincerely thank you for your patience and resilience as we work through these issues.
Imperius was coded from the ground up for this iteration, and while we ran testing, some issues could only be discovered in a live environment. We are making improvements daily, and the shard is steadily getting better.

Features and Gatekeeping
We've heard concerns that some features feel locked away from players. Let’s address this openly: we take a different approach in Imperius compared to other games. Many players are used to systems where rewards are handed out for grinding a skill. In Imperius, things work differently.
We provide endless possibilities, but they require engagement and roleplay to unlock. For instance, while some players expected to achieve magic simply by leveling up a skill, our system prioritizes meaningful interactions and in-game development.
A True Example: One player recently approached us with a detailed concept for melee weapons that incorporate wrestling techniques. They invested time in writing books and roleplaying their ideas in-game. In response, we are creating an entirely new set of weapons—complete with unique code and graphics—because their effort and creativity earned it.
This example isn’t meant to boast but to illustrate that nothing in Imperius is gatekept by game masters or hardcoded systems. The only gatekeeper is roleplay. If you put in the effort, the world of Imperius will evolve to reflect your contributions. We want to empower players to create and shape the game world.

Expanding the Map
The map will continue to grow! Please keep in mind that we’ve only been live for one month, but we are already working on expanding. There will be plenty of new areas to explore in the near future, and we’re excited to see where your adventures take you!
