However, beneath their apparent pursuits lie mysterious undertones and hidden agendas, hinting at a deeper complexity within their ranks.

The Wine Makers are a faction of savvy businesspeople dominating the underworld’s drug trade. With unrivaled connections and expertise in trade and deals, they navigate the illicit market with precision. Their influence extends beyond their illicit dealings, as they forge alliances with influential factions.
The Wayfarers: Wanderers of the Land, Keepers of Ancient Secrets
The Wayfarers, known as the traveling people, form a close-knit faction consisting of gypsies and travelers. They are peaceful herders and skilled fortune tellers. United by a common goal, the Wayfarers endeavor to reclaim their rightful place in the lands of Asier. Many attribute their mystical abilities to a unique attunement that allows them to read fortunes and discern people’s true intentions. Living off the land, they are a humble and simple folk, guarding an ancient secret that shapes their way of life.

The Party Goers, a faction veiled in secrecy, are enigmatic figures who prefer to remain elusive and keep their true identities hidden. Operating in the shadows, they hold control over the underworld, wielding their power as master spies. Their motives are deeply guarded, and they seldom reveal their true intentions, adding to the air of mystery that surrounds them.
Tertius Oculus: Unscrupulous Scientists

The Tertius Oculus is a mysterious faction of scientists and surgeons who venture to the outermost limits of scientific experimentation. Their motives remain shrouded in secrecy, leaving little understanding of why they pursue their unorthodox practices. Driven by an “ends justify the means” mentality, they unscrupulously employ any means at their disposal, often resorting to immoral methods to further their research. The Red Hand is a renowned faction of mercenaries and soldiers driven by a noble mission: to safeguard the defenseless from the Monsters and creatures of Asier and establish secure sanctuaries where citizens can thrive. With unwavering dedication, they defend those in need, employing their formidable combat skills to create a world of safety and tranquility. Bound by honor, they bring justice and protection to communities, standing as a symbol of hope in a troubled world.
Witlock’s Men: Ambitious Strategists Ruling the Docks.
Witlock’s Men, former soldiers in control of the docks, strive for peace to turn a profit. However, their true motives lie in toppling the current order and establishing a more lucrative lifestyle. With unparalleled military prowess, they defy resource limitations, making them formidable contenders in their quest for dominance.
 
In current times Witlock and his men have been run out of Asier. Witlocks ambitions, it seems, proved to be his downfall.  When Allred and the Men of Vice learned of his plans to form a commission to overthrow them they launched a counter attack, catching Witlock off guard and bringing an end to his expanding control over the docks and town.
The Green Cloaks: Guardians of Order and Peace
The Green cloaks represent a dedicated militia of marooners who have united with a common purpose: to serve as the town’s police force. Committed to upholding law and order, they tirelessly work to ensure that all citizens conduct themselves properly, fostering an environment of peace and harmony within the community.
 
When Captain Fippz and the Crew of the Vengeance attacked, the Green cloaks were all but destroyed in the battle. Some members managed to survive but the damage was done. Their control and power faded almost overnight as the corpses of their  comrades in arms burned through the night. Those that remain have found employment elsewhere or live in a bottle filled with old memories.
The Family: Dangerous Opportunists 

Led by an ambitious figure, The Family seeks to expand their power and control over the lands around them. Operating as cunning opportunists, they strategically form alliances and manipulate events behind the scenes. Their growing influence evokes both admiration and scorn from other influential factions.

In current times the Family has shifted its focus to more above board activities. Their ties with Captain Medina proved lucrative as they have since claimed control over the pirate ship “Vengeance” and refurbished it into a lively Casino and drinking establishment.

The Golden Veil: Uniting the Underclass for a Brighter Future.
The Golden Veil are a diverse faction, consisting of working-class individuals, retired militia, and drifters. Their mission is to unionize the lower class and fight for a better position in society. They champion social change, harnessing the collective power of the underprivileged to challenge inequality.
 
During the day of reckoning The Golden Veil was targeted by Allreds’ Men of Vice. With most of the faction being killed or captured, the survivors found refuge with other allies and went into hiding. Their leader, it seems, was not so fortunate. Days after the dust had settled she was marched through town in chains and tattered clothing. Rumors say the woman’s mind was all but gone, looking a shell of her former self as she was marched out of Asier.
Captain Medina’s crew: Pirates of Fortune 

The Vengeance hosts a crew of pirates made up of rag-tag crewmen who wash ashore on Asier from other doomed ships. Claudia Medina took over the crew of the Vengeance after Captain Fippz was killed and has worked to develop it from a crew of cannibals and raiders into a smaller but more efficient company of fighters. Captain Medina and Julius Witlock were once friendly, but after the death of Sue Tate things took an irreconcilable turn. Captain Medina left the lower level crewmen and took her crew off of Asier. They are currently laying in wait biding their time.

The Whispers: Intelligence Brokers

The Whispers form a secretive faction of skilled intelligence gatherers, adept at spying on individuals and selling valuable secrets to the highest bidder. Trained to be self-sufficient and guided by their own code of conduct and ethics, they operate in the shadows, leaving little trace of their presence.

As part of the doomed commission The whispers were also a target of Allred’s Men of Vice. Before they could be taken they slipped into hiding, Renaming themselves The Whispers and establishing a strong network of espionage.

The Golden Legion: Paladins of Aven Rae

The Golden Legion, legendary Paladins known for their altruism and valor, once defended the oppressed in Asier. Their selfless deeds made enemies, and a traitor within led to their downfall. Evidence of their existence has all but vanished, leaving only tales of their noble legacy. The Golden Legion remains a distant memory, inspiring those who champion the cause of the weak.
